Together through the mud for freedom!

IJM

Since last year, we have been a Freedom partner of International Justice Mission (IJM). IJM is a global organisation that works with local authorities to stop slavery, human trafficking and violence against people living in poverty. We are impressed by the way IJM works and the difference they make in the world. We are therefore Proud to be a sponsor of this organisation.

IJM MudRaise

Sixteen of our employees will participate as a Heemskerk Flowers team in the MudRaise of MudMasters on Saturday 8 June. This is an obstacle run as well as a fundraising challenge. By participating in this obstacle run, we are fighting together with IJM against injustice, human trafficking, abuse and slavery.

Collectively raising money

Per participant, the aim is to raise €2,000. This brings our team target to €32,000. To raise this amount, we will organise various activities for and with colleagues, family, friends, customers and suppliers!

Easter workshop On Wednesday 20 March, we organised an Easter workshop. It was a festive gathering with as many as 100 enthusiastic women who made a beautiful Easter wreath, under the guidance of florist CK Flowers. With this, we raised € 2650, a great start! The following day we sold some 15 more DIY Easter wreath packages, raising €225. A huge thanks to our suppliers Adomex and 4-Attention for sponsoring the necessary materials!

Guess & Win an Easter egg There was a vase of Easter eggs in the canteen for our employees. If you donated an amount, you could take part in the Guess & Win Easter action. The person who came closest to the correct number won a big Tony's Chocolonely Easter egg. Brenda won the big egg. Colleague Alex was disappointed, as he came second, winning nothing.

With this action, we raised €120.

MudRaise Market On Friday afternoon 12 April, there was a MudRaise Market at our company. We sold plants, bouquets, flowers and decorative materials. A big thank you to the suppliers who sponsored the products. In addition, people could enjoy a cup of coffee/tea and sweet treats. Our colleague Rob made lots of cupcakes and colleague Karin sponsored apple cakes with her own company Appelkaatje. The kids were also thought of: there was a bouncy castle, the children were made up, they could decorate their own cupcake, win candy with a ball game and colouring. Meanwhile, singer Bart Heemkerk created a cosy atmosphere with his Dutch songs. There was even dancing on the table. In short; one big party! The entire proceeds of no less than €6,000 went to the IJM MudRaise!

Carwash
On Saturday, May 25, the Truckwash company made its passenger car wash available. All transactions made on the day to have passenger cars washed were transferred to the IJM MudRaise.

With this action, we raised €250.
